Where does the data go when the host dies? Yahoo is coming apart at the seams, and they’re taking the social bookmarking site Delicious with them. I use this service to generate the linkstream in my sidebar here. Thankfully, I’ve had WordPress importing all that content weekly for a long time, so I’m not in danger of losing any information. I just have to deal with the pain in the ass of figuring out a new way to implement this functionality. If you care about information you must be constantly vigilant against entropy. Pinboard (http://pinboard.in) looks promising. It is not free, but that’s probably a good thing; plus, it’s inexpensive. Here is their comparison between Pinboard and Delicious: http://pinboard.in/switch/
For you, I would think that the lack of automatic uploading to WordPress from Pinboard is going to be the biggest problem.
I’m think I’m just going to use WordPress directly. It’ll mean a lot more small posts showing up in my RSS feed, but I’ll have control over the data, and I won’t have to worry about anybody else de-rezzing. Honestly, Yahoo’s exit is much more graceful than Ma.gnolia’s was!

Try Diigo. It has the same basic functionality as Delicious with additional powerful research tools.
